When Remy takes a bite of cheese smooth and creamy music play in the background to give you that sense of taste, and when he takes a bite of strawberries a louder more vigorous tune can be heard. They use the sound of the nose instead of taste because taste is individual to everyone and it is much easier to appeal to the crowd with the sense of smell. When Remy finds cheese in the opening scenes in the yard of the woman 's house they are staying in, the use his sniffling nose to make the audience know from previous experience to know exactly what that cheese smells like. Although Remy is trapped in his rat like state he is still the best cook at Gusteaus. The story of Ratatouille is one of Pixars greatest creations, Remy a master chef stuck in the body of a rat.
